I acquired my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Lawrence Tech University in 1983. While working and going to college simultaneously, I was able to get a head start on becoming a registered Michigan architect. After a few more years of working in other architectural firms, I became licensed in 1987 and started my own practice in 1990 and never looked back. For several years I was a member of the American Institute of Architects and conducted seminars and educational programs for building professionals and building officials on the proper use of an Architect’s seal for “signing and sealing” a set of drawings.

Since I began my own practice, I have had several clients, including builders and remodeling contractors, who have been with me since the outset in 1990. These relationships, which have evolved into personal connections, have been instrumental in carrying me through economic challenges such as recessions and slow-downs. The endurance of these relationships underscores the strength and stability of my practice.
